Yes!! I got one story boosted and started chasing more boosts until, finally, I stopped. Not only have I stopped chasing the boost, I've stopped writing despite having several ideas floating around in my head that I believe would make good stories. But like you, all of MY old worries about whether the writing is good enough have bubbled up. Not only that, this whole chasing money thing has also kept me from writing because I'm a "slow writer." I like to take my time, allowing myself at least two days to "perfect" a 6 minute read. I think I'm doing too much comparing myself to other writers who brag about how much money they've made and how many stories they write per day. Given the speed at which I write, that simply won't be me. But I'm sure I'll write something soon; I just need to let it be okay if I only write a couple of stories a month and have to have my payment delayed because I didn't make $10 last month.
