Yeah, I'm being kicked out of the Partner Program, which I signed up for back in 2018 before this new requirement of 100 followers was instituted. I have 2 weeks to come up with 94 followers. And I'd just started writing again after a long, pandemic-related hiatus, adding my referral program link to my articles. Now I'll have to delete them all. If they kick me out, which I expect they will, I will probably be leaving Medium altogether and posting exclusively on my blogs. At least there, I can get Amazon and other affiliate commissions on books and products I recommend.

Like Robert Jameson said, we create content that keeps Medium afloat, and now we have to do their sales for them? Just like the slave masters of old, getting paid nothing to do your work for you. Shame on you, Medium. Going to share this on every social media account I have as a warning to new writers who want to make some money from their writing. This ain't the place to do it.
