Pala, I was so intrigued with the title, I decided to put your story at the top of my reading list. And I'm glad I did. You've captured the very essence of why adopting loving kindness and nonjudgment are so critical to the survival of humanity. Having been raised by a critical parent whom I've forgiven, I've been through the whole cycle of being criticized and judged, then doing it to others, but mainly doing it to myself. I'm learning to cut myself some slack and extend compassion to the person I see in the mirror. When I can extend to myself, I recognize the need to extend it to others.
