Oahu has a large feral cat population living in colonies around the island. Spay/neuter and release, as well as adoption, are the main ways they are being dealt with. We have 2 rescues living with us (one from a feral colony and one foundling), plus an adoptee from a previous owner who recently passed away. They belong to our housemates. The formerly feral cat fascinates me because he still exhibits some "feral ways" (e.g. jumping into the kitchen sink looking for food) even though he's pretty domesticated.
