I'm guessing this is where the word for children, keiki, used here in Hawaii comes from.

As for the reverse engineering, I've never had a specific plan for my life. But opportunities have come to me along the way that I've taken advantage. Probably why I'm struggling financially in retirement, but I do have a roof over my head and food on the table. And it's not over yet. All I know now is that I intend to do what I love (write, crochet, sew among other things) and be self-employed doing it.
