I may be a little biased because I was born in the U.S. (and in the nation's capitol to boot), but I see the current state of affairs we're experiencing in metaphorical terms.

All of our shadow shit is coming to the surface so that we have no doubt as to what that shit is. In Reiki, it's called a healing crisis. Lots of high frequency energy coming into the planet brings all of the bad stuff to the surface. And if you only view this phenomenon from the perspective of mainstream media, most of what you'll see is the "shadow shit."

But the only way we'll be able to change is to become aware of what needs changing. And that's what's happening now.

On the other hand, there is so much more good occurring that doesn't make the evening news. There's a "new model," a la Buckminster Fuller, being built that will make the existing model obsolete. It reminds me of the fall of the Berlin Wall. It seemed to happen overnight, but I'm sure there was a lot going on for years, beneath the surface, that folk weren't aware of and that made the fall look like an event that came out of nowhere.
