I like the "pocket calculator" use of ChatGPT in writing, and I can definitely see it being used for research. I've been avoiding ChatGPT like the plague, but I can't ignore it forever. So this is one way I can learn about it. I have to be in control of my writing, however, so it can only ever be a pocket calculator.
