Fascinating read! I couldn't get away with hell or damn when I was a kid. But today, my conversations are often sprinkled with "fuck," believe it or not, probably because I raised an X-ennial (she's on the cusp of Gen X and Millennial ages ) who taught me the proper use of the word. Every other word is "fuck" with those kids.

But it was us Boomers who brought most of them into vogue in the 60s and 70s. Right on!
